1 Week of Isha Kriya meditation
Day 1:
My meditation today was not guided, I chose to use the music and set my timer for 15 minutes. It did not take very much time to sink into the practice, I was anticipating with excitement and curiosity prior to starting. Right away I matched my breath with the mantra, there were a few moments when the two were separated which is indicative of not flowing consciously. Whenever I found that the flow between the breath my mantra shuttered, I would simply reset from the bottom of the last exhalation and continue. There is no effort in my breathing when I do this, the respiratory rate is normal (12-20 resps/minute) with no pause at the bottom or top of the breaths to allow them to flow nicely with the mantra.
It is not uncommon for me to see a swirling white, pin-sized light between my eyebrows. This white light fluctuates in size and there are usually constant flashing images moving around behind it. When these images are flashing it is sometimes hard to put a name on them, sometimes they are random colourful swirls and shapes, other times there are images of something specific. Today I saw a statue head, the only section of the head that exposed was from the bridge of the nose to the middle of the neck, the mouth was moving but I could not hear any words. The head was the colour of bronze, slowly, it transitioned into a ruin like stone with specs of green moss. I am not sure what any of this means but it was the one image that I was able to see most clearly.
After my meditation, my eyes felt more clear and my body less tense.
