Day 3: The principle of vibration

This morning I decided to first do my training before meditating. I completed my normal run and shadow boxed outside afterward. I wanted to be awake prior to my meditation. I started the 20-minute timer, then closed my eyes. It felt as if it took 10 minutes to let the dust of my thoughts settle, they remained intermittent throughout the entire meditation but I felt that I had more control over the volume this time. I noticed the sensation of waiting. As I waited, I thought to myself "what am I waiting for?" it seemed silly.

There is a huge misunderstanding that is attached to meditation. When you meditate, you are not going to experience fireworks, you are simply going to learn to see what has always been there at different altitudes. As I understood this, I began to notice the floor holding my body up as it always does. Even though my eyes were closed, I could feel that I was in an enclosed space that was formed by the walls standing around me. To me, this is such an interesting way to see everyday objects. When you understand the action, it means that these seemingly still objects are not at all still.

The concept of action found in "still" objects had me thinking about the third Hermetic Principle, the principle of vibration. The Principle of Vibration states that nothing in the universe is at rest, everything moves, everything vibrates. Vibration is in everything, a mountain, a lake, a forest fire, and the wind. Matter is merely energy that in a state of vibration. Different matter vibrates at different frequencies. These frequencies can change depending on the action that is taking place. With a change in action comes the change in vibration. So what does that mean to me? It is a fact that we have this principle in common with everything and everyone; the fact is, we are all made up of matter. What I can gather from this connection is that if everything is made up of matter, and this matter vibrates at different frequencies then, in theory, I have the potential to connect with anything or anyone through different actions. If I understand the frequency of a large rock, I too can vibrate on that same frequency so, who is to say that the rock is not as alive as I feel?

My potential is far beyond my understanding, there are infinite possibilities and outcomes. If I can understand these 7 principles, in turn, I can understand what my limitations are. If I understand my limitations, then I may be able to control my outcomes.
